Held in conjunction with Mosaic Bazaar and Smalti Australia, this unique workshop is only held twice a year! I team up with my mosaic colleague, Beate Lincklemann, to conduct this workshop where students are able to ‘create as you go’ using both Italian and Mexican Smalti that you can purchase on the day from the stunning library of Smalti colour available. Beate takes your through the history of Smalti and the production, and I will show you cutting techniques, how to use your Smalti in your mosaic, adhesives etc, design techniques. Each student will be able to choose from a piece of an Agate slice, which will be the centre feature of the wall hanging substrate supplied. Held at Aldinga Community Shed, at Aldinga Beach, South Australia.
